Q. I don’t want to sign up for a long-term contract. How long is this agreement?
A. Our agreement is month-to-month. You can stop anytime.

Q. How can you offer these services for so little money?
A. Good question. Most providers charge a lot more-$40-$50 is common. We have priced the services to be a no-brainer for our client base: residential and very small businesses.
Frankly, there is little profit in our plans, but we are willing to trade some profit in exchange for steady income, and the ability to really care for our clients’ computers, in a way that’s not possible if we only see the computer when there’s a problem.

Q. Do I have to sign up for all 3 services?
A. No. you can sign up for one, two, or three of the services.

Q. Can I pay with check instead of credit card?
A. Yes, as long your check is received by the 20th of the month prior.

Q. I’m concerned about my privacy and safety. What steps have you taken to protect me?
A. We take your privacy and safety very seriously. Our staff and management have all undergone criminal background checks and drug screens in order to protect you.

Q. Will you have access to my computer and files?
A. That’s up to you. Some of our clients prefer that we have remote access to their computer in order to provide service without the need for them to be present. That feature can be turned on or off at any time.

Q. Can you provide me with scheduled reports to let me know that my computer is functioning properly?
A. Yes. We send you a weekly report via email on Thursday afternoons. If you’d prefer, we can send daily reports, or no reports.

Q. Why do I need this service?
A. Maintaining and updating your computer is a long-standing best practice. All computers need routine maintenance and updates, at least yearly, more frequently for business computers or heavy usage.
This service replaces tune-ups and check-ups. Additionally, we monitor your computer for unseen issues, and we keep your software updated. Out-of-date software is a major entry point for viruses.

Q. Do you need to have access to my computer to provide this service?
A. No. Our software agent is installed on your computer, and keeps a constant watch over it. Additionally the agent updates our central computers frequently and alerts us of any possible issues. Our central servers direct the agent to update approved software, and perform routine maintenance.

 Anti-Virus & Web Protection Frequently Asked Questions 
Q. I have virus protection. How is this service different?
A. Virus protection alone does not stop most infections. We use multiple technologies to protect you. Our Web Protection module prevents your computer from connecting to known bad websites.

We also monitor the anti-virus and web protection modules to make sure they are running and updated. Many people don’t realize that their anti-virus has expired or was turned off-leaving their computers vulnerable.
Because you can override the protection with just a single mouse-click. The most common ways computers get infected is by you being tricked into clicking a link in an email or web page.

Q. Can you block certain websites, or types of websites to protect my employees or children?
A. Yes, as an added benefit, we can customize your web protection to block any websites you don’t want accessed by employees or children.
The Web Protection module includes a database of known malware websites, and will prevent your computer form connecting to them. This feature greatly reduces the chance of virus infection on your computer.

Q. If I get a virus on my computer, will you repair it as part of this service?
A. Unfortunately, the only way to prevent viruses and malware is to disconnect from the Internet. No software or hardware solution provides 100% protection. If your computer does become infected, we will be happy to assist at our regular rates.

Data Backup Frequently Asked Questions 
Q. Why should I keep copies of my files in the cloud?
A. The cloud provides an extra layer of security for your files. If you just have a copy of your files at home or at your business, that copy could be easily damaged by fire, electrical spikes, theft, corruption and many other causes.
Another great benefit of cloud backup is that it runs automatically. You don’t have to connect anything to your computer.

Q. What happens if I need to retrieve a previous version of a file, or retrieve a file I have recently deleted?
A. Our cloud backup service keeps copies of the last three months of any changes you made to a file (PC only).
If you should delete a file, you can retrieve the backed-up copy for 30 days.

Q. Will you be monitoring my backups to make sure they are happening?
A. Yes, we monitor your online backups, and will alert you of any issues that require your attention.
