With identity theft and online password theft are on the rise,
I wanted to share with you some easy ways to protect yourself:
Change your passwords frequently
Change all your online passwords at least twice per year-more frequently if you can.
Use strong passwords
A strong password is at least 8 characters long, contains uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Better yet-use a passphrase: SilverLinings345! is a strong password that easy to remember.
Use different passwords for each account
If a hacker should get hold of one password, they should not be able to access multiple accounts.
Don’t forget to record ALL your passwords and online usernames!
